Our President,Catherine O'Brien, has some 15 years' experience in marketing
and management in the securities field. She was formerly a licensed
broker with Merrill Lynch as well as operations manager with several major
New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) member firms. For the past 5 years, she has
also served as securities industry representative on arbitration panels of
the NYSE and more recently for the Pacific Stock Exchange (PSE) and the
National Association of Security Dealers (NASD).
Our Executive Director, Jaqueline Downs, recently retired as Deputy
Director of Case Administration after nearly thirty years with the Los
Angeles office of the American Arbitration Association, so is well versed
in arbitration procedures. She also holds a B.S. from Glendale University
College of Law.
PAS has a 10 member Advisory Council, composed of businessmen and
attorneys and one retired Judge, who serve gratuitously and who review all
potential arbitrators/mediators before they are admitted to the panel.
The Council recommend new arbitrators/mediators and give advice as to
avenues to pursue in research, education and the marketing of our services.
