"Braveheart", Winner of the Best Picture Oscar
The film was an international success. In Australia, it broke box
office records - and not only because Mel Gibson is a local hero
down-under. "Braveheart" has an universal message: right against might,
principle against opportunism. At its most basic it is a war film, but one
which appeals to both sexes and all generations.
