Mel Gibson on the set
In an interview with Joan Lunden, Mel was asked how he managed
directing and acting in the film Braveheart. He said,
"You have to go in with a plan. You can deviate from that, though -- it's
just a jumping off point."
He wandered around reading a small, ancient-looking, leather-bound tome
entitled "Making an Epic" during the filming. As no such book exists in
reality, he must have gone to the trouble of getting the gold lettered
binding made specially to amuse his film crew.
