The 20th Century version
Wallace was reputed to be a very handsome man, so who better to play
him than one of People magazine's most beautiful men in the world, Mel
Gibson. Nobody knows now what Wallace actually did look like, since no
portraits of him taken from life exist. But by all accounts, legends and the poem
The Wallace by Blind Harry, he was very tall, strong and had a pleasing
face.
