Castle Stalker
This beautiful castle is one of my favourites. It is in Argyllshire,
and as you can see it was built on a small island - a useful protection
against enemies. Earlier Scots went to
the trouble of building artificial islands in the centres of lochs, so they
would have a more easily defensible homestead.
